Together with the University of Amsterdam and Bas Dovis, we looked for a way to gamify an often used short term memory test in which a reward structure was important. This ended up becoming Mamma Mia Pizzeria, a serious game in which Mamma Mia needs the help of the player to run a restaurant.
The most challenging part was keeping true to the original rules that are in the official test to be able to make scientific comparisons, while at the same time using gaming elements to make it more interesting. We did this using visuals, animations and a shop that allowed progressively unlocking new upgrades for the restaurant.
I was responsible for programming and development in Unity.
